Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of menu items according to brand standards.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines precisely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times.
- Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in line with HACCP and kitchen safety guidelines.
- Support mise en place preparation for service (vegetables, sauces, basic prep).
- Assist in receiving and properly storing deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment (upper-casual or above preferred).
- Strong basic cooking skills and willingness to learn.
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and HACCP.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and reliability.
- Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
