      Job Summary:

       

      As the Head Hostess / Reservation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front-of-house operations. You will be responsible for managing reservations, supervising the host/hostess team, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal abilities will be key to your success in this role.


      Key Responsibilities:

       

       

      1. Reservation Management:

      • Handle all reservation requests via phone, email, and in-person with a professional and courteous demeanor.
      • Maintain an accurate reservation system, optimizing table allocation to maximize seating capacity.
      • Confirm reservations and communicate special requests or preferences to the kitchen and service staff.


      2. Host/Hostess Supervision:

      • Recruit, train, and supervise host/hostess staff to ensure a high level of service excellence.
      • Develop and enforce host/hostess protocols and standards for greeting and seating guests.
      • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.


      3. Guest Services:

      • Personally greet and seat guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.
      • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
      • Assist in resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise during service.


      4. Scheduling and Shift Management:

      • Create and maintain host/hostess schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
      • Manage shift changes and breaks to optimize staff availability and service efficiency.


      5. Collaboration with Other Departments:

      • Work closely with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate table turnover and ensure smooth service flow.
      • Communicate effectively with management regarding reservations, guest feedback, and operational needs.


      6. Administrative Tasks:

      • Maintain records of reservations, guest information, and seating preferences.
      • Prepare daily reports on reservation activity and guest counts.
      • Assist in developing and implementing reservation policies and procedures.


      Qualifications:

      • Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment in a host/hostess or reservation management role.
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
      • Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer applications.
      • Impeccable grooming and professional appearance.
      • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
      • Saudi experience is preferable
