Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Design and implement process improvements, including equipment upgrades, procedural changes, and automation solutions.
- Conduct thorough analyses of chemical processes, including mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams, and risk assessments.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and waste minimization through process optimization and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to scale up new chemical processes from laboratory to production scale.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to address process deviations, equipment failures, and quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support to cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in chemical engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical process engineering.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, unit operations, and process design methodologies.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with process optimization techniques, statistical analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
