Job Description:
As the Restaurant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the establishment. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service excellence, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, and managing a team of dedicated professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1- Operational Excellence:
a. Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
b. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and cleanliness protocols.
c. Monitor inventory levels and manage supplies to prevent shortages or wastage.
d. Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
2- Team Leadership:
a. Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
b. Schedule and manage staff shifts effectively to meet operational requirements.
c. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff members.
d. Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
3- Guest Experience:
a. Uphold the restaurant's reputation for exceptional service by leading by example.
b. Ensure that guests receive personalized and attentive service, and promptly address any concerns or special requests.
c. Oversee the reservation system and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
d. Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain the quality and presentation of dishes.
4- Financial Management:
a. Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and report financial performance to senior management.
b. Drive sales through effective upselling techniques and promotional activities.
c. Manage cash handling and maintain accurate records of transactions.
d. Analyze sales and guest feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
5- Event Coordination:
a. Organize and oversee private events, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding guest expectations.
b. Collaborate with event planners and clients to customize menus and arrangements.
c. Manage event staff and resources to ensure successful events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, and fine dining etiquette.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- A bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
- Saudi Arabian work experience is a plus.
